This website is about my hobby kayaking on placid water. You can read where to kayak in the Netherlands. I also wrote about vacations outside the Netherlands.

The amount of routes is still growing, and so is the number of visitors. In 2007 I had 17165 visitors, and last year 41044.

It's nice to know my work is being appreciated. Thanks for the many nice reactions! The making of this website is a hobby for me and I have no intention to make any money out of it. 

In June 2009 I've been to great Britain again and I updated the pages on the canals I had visited 9 years before. New are the pages about the Caldon Canal and the Peak Forest Canal.

If you may find something incorrect in the described routes, please let me know so that I can make corrections and other people can benefit from it. 

GPS: I added the coordinates of the startingpoints. You can feed them into your car GPS device. For your convenience I made an Excel-file in the WGS84 format containing all starting points. I own a MIO C320. The POI-loader can convert the xls-file into a kml-file and write it on SD-card. Kml-files can also be opened in Google-Earth.

Deze website gaat over mijn hobby toeristisch kajak varen. Je vindt hier een aantal beschrijvingen van kanoroutes in  Nederland. Verder verslagen van kanovakanties buiten Nederland.

Ieder jaar komen er nieuwe routes bij. Het aantal bezoekers groeit ook nog steeds. In 2007 waren er 17165 bezoekers, in 2008: 41044 en in 2009: 51648. In 2009 werd in totaal 127822 keer een pagina geopend.

Ik vind het leuk dat mijn werk gewaardeerd wordt. Bedankt voor de vele reacties! Het bijhouden van deze site is voor mij puur hobby zonder winstoogmerk. 

In juni 2009 ben ik weer eens in Groot Brittannië geweest en heb de pagina's van 9 jaar geleden vernieuwd. Nieuw toegevoegd zijn de beschrijvingen van het Caldon Kanaal en het Peak Forest Kanaal.

Op deze site geldt auteursrecht. Mocht u belangstelling hebben iets over te nemen voor andere sites of voor druk, neem dan contact met mij op. Dan komen we daar beslist wel uit. 

Mocht u ondanks mijn streven naar zorgvuldigheid een fout ontdekken, dan hoor ik het graag. Dan pas ik de beschrijving of het kaartje aan en daar kunnen anderen weer hun voordeel mee doen.

GPS: Bij de routes heb ik de coördinaten vermeld van het startpunt. Deze kunt u rechtstreeks invoeren in het navigatiesysteem van uw auto. Voor een totaaloverzicht heb ik een Excel bestand gemaakt in het decimale formaat WGS84. Zelf gebruik ik een MIO C320. De POI-loader kan dit bestand converteren in een kml-bestand en wegschrijven op SD-kaart. Tip (ook voor niet MIO-bezitters): kml-bestanden kunnen ook in Google-Earth geopend worden.
